Kathleen Greeley Lighty of Nottingham
Kathleen Greeley Lighty, 47, daughter of the late Lawrence Greeley; and daughter of Alma Greeley, passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2012. Kathleen was born and raised in Kennett Square and graduated from Kennett High School in 1983. She earned a bachelors degree in photography from Ithaca College in New York in 1987. Kathleen and her husband of 22 years, Stephen Lighty, made their home in Nottingham, with their furry children, Opie and Oliver. Kathleen’s approach to life, filled with curiosity and wonder, was reflected in her fine art photography and mixed media sculpture. Her courage and grace during her 8-year battle with metastatic breast cancer was (and continues to be) an inspiration to all who knew her. Family and friends will celebrate her life at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 4th, at the Kennett Friends Meetinghouse, 125 W. Sickle Street, Kennett Square. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Kathleen’s name to the Art Therapy Program of the Chester County Hospital Foundation, the Chester County Cancer Center, or Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania.
